These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://pinkcitymarathon.com and your registration for and participation in the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon (“the Event”), organised by Anybody Can Run (ABCR) (“the Organiser”, “we”, “us”).
By completing registration and paying the entry fee, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Cancellation & Refund Policy and the Shipping & Delivery Policy. If you are registering on behalf of a minor, you accept these Terms as their parent or legal guardian.
1. The Event
The Event is scheduled for November 29, 2026 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, and is offered in the following categories:
| Category | Distance | Minimum age (as on race day) | Entry fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Half Marathon | 21.1 km | 18 years | ₹2,000 |
| Cool Run | 10 km | 15 years | ₹1,200 |
| Dream Run | 5.5 km | 12 years | ₹500 |
Entry fees are stated in Indian Rupees (INR). Applicable taxes and payment-gateway charges, where levied, are shown at checkout before you confirm payment. Fees may differ between early-bird, regular and late registration windows; the fee displayed at the time you complete your transaction is the fee that applies to you.
2. Eligibility
- You must meet the minimum age for your category as on race day. We may ask for government-issued photo identification proving your date of age at bib collection, and may refuse entry if it is not produced.
- A participant under 18 years must be registered by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms and the waiver in section 6 on their behalf.
- You must be in sound physical condition and medically fit to complete your chosen distance. See section 5.
- We may refuse or cancel any registration at our discretion, including where the information given is false, incomplete, or where a participant has previously been disqualified for a rules violation.
3. Registration
- Registration is complete only when payment is successfully received and a confirmation is issued to you. An entry in your cart, an incomplete form, or a failed transaction does not reserve a place.
- Registration is personal to you and non-transferable. You may not sell, give away, or swap your entry, bib or timing chip. Running under another person's bib is a serious safety risk and will result in disqualification of both parties, and may lead to a ban from future editions.
- Category changes may be permitted before a cut-off date announced by us, subject to availability and to payment of any difference in fee. A downgrade to a lower-priced category does not entitle you to a refund of the difference.
- Entries may close early once the participant cap for a category is reached.
- Please check your name, date of birth, category and T-shirt size carefully before submitting. Corrections after the cut-off may not be possible.
4. Bib Collection and Race Kit
Bib numbers, timing chips and race kits must be collected in person at the pre-race expo on the dates and at the venue announced for this edition. Collection by a representative may be permitted only with a signed authorisation and a copy of the participant's photo ID. Full details are in our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Bibs are not issued on race-day morning unless we announce otherwise.
5. Health, Fitness and Medical Fitness
- Distance running carries inherent risks, including cardiac events, heat illness, dehydration, musculoskeletal injury and, in rare cases, death. You register with full knowledge of these risks.
- You confirm that you have trained adequately and, where appropriate, obtained medical advice confirming your fitness to participate.
- You must disclose any material medical condition, allergy or medication at registration or at bib collection.
- Medical staff and the Race Director may examine you, and may stop you from starting or require you to withdraw at any point if they consider it unsafe for you to continue. That decision is final and binding.
- You consent to receive emergency medical treatment if you are unable to give consent at the time, and to be transported to hospital at your own cost where required.
6. Assumption of Risk and Waiver
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you participate at your own risk, and you release and hold harmless the Organiser, the title sponsor, other sponsors and partners, the timing partner, the venue owners, the government and municipal authorities granting permissions, and all their respective officers, employees, contractors and volunteers, from any claim for loss, injury, illness, death, or loss of or damage to property, arising out of or in connection with your participation — except where such loss is caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be contractually excluded.
7. Race Rules and Conduct
- Follow the instructions of the Race Director, marshals, medical staff, police and volunteers at all times.
- Wear your assigned bib visibly on the front of your torso for the whole race. Do not alter, fold or obscure it.
- Start only from your assigned corral and start time.
- Complete the full designated course. Cutting the course, receiving a lift, or being paced by an unregistered runner or vehicle results in disqualification.
- Observe the published cut-off times. Participants who fall behind may be asked to board a sweep vehicle so that roads can reopen.
- Headphones, bicycles, skates, prams, pets and glass containers may be restricted for safety; any such restriction will be published in the race instructions.
- Use of any substance banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency, unsporting conduct, abusive behaviour, littering outside designated zones, and any conduct endangering others are grounds for immediate disqualification and removal from the course.
- Unauthorised commercial activity, promotional branding, banners or leafleting on the course or at the venue is not permitted without our written consent.
8. Timing, Results and Prizes
- Results are recorded by an electronic timing system. A missing or damaged chip, or a bib worn incorrectly, may mean no time is recorded, and we cannot reconstruct a time in that case.
- Provisional results are published after the race and may be revised. Results become final once the protest window announced for this edition closes.
- Protests must be submitted in writing within the announced window, with supporting evidence. The decision of the Race Director or appointed jury is final.
- Prize money and awards are subject to verification of age and identity, deduction of tax at source as required by the Income-tax Act, 1961, and to any anti-doping requirements that apply. Prizes may be withheld pending verification.
- Prize categories, amounts and eligibility criteria are those published for this edition.
9. Photography, Film and Publicity
You grant the Organiser and its authorised partners a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use your name, image, likeness, voice, bib number, city and race results, as captured at or in connection with the Event, for reporting, broadcasting, archival and promotional purposes across any medium, without further approval or compensation. This does not permit us to imply that you endorse a sponsor's product, which would require your separate consent.
10. Changes, Postponement and Cancellation
- We may change the route, start time, category timings, cut-offs, venue or event format where required for participant safety, by weather, by traffic or crowd conditions, or by direction of the police or any authority.
- We may postpone or cancel the Event in whole or in part because of a force majeure event — including acts of God, extreme weather, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, public-health orders, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strike, fire, or the refusal, withdrawal or delay of any statutory permission.
- What happens to your entry fee in those circumstances is set out in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- We are not liable for travel, accommodation or any other cost you incur in connection with the Event, in any circumstances.
11. Intellectual Property
The Event name, logos, marks, course maps, photographs, website design, text and other material on this site are owned by or licensed to the Organiser and its sponsors. You may not reproduce, distribute or use them commercially without our prior written permission.
12. Website Use
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this site, its server or its database, or to introduce malicious code, or to place unreasonable load on it.
- Content on this site is provided for general information. We aim to keep it accurate and current but do not warrant that it is free of errors or omissions.
- Where we link to third-party sites, we do not control and are not responsible for their content.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with your registration or participation is limited to the entry fee you actually paid for the Event. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, opportunity or enjoyment.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify the Organiser against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of any law, or your negligent or wilful act during the Event.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
16. Amendments
We may amend these Terms at any time. The version published on this page at the time you register is the version that applies to your entry, except where a later change is required by law or by a competent authority.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
