These Entry Rules and Regulations apply to every participant in the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon on November 29, 2026. They form part of the Terms & Conditions you accept at registration. The Race Director's interpretation of these rules is final.
1. Categories, Distances and Eligibility
| Category | Distance | Minimum age (as on race day) | Entry fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Half Marathon | 21.1 km | 18 years | ₹2,000 |
| Cool Run | 10 km | 15 years | ₹1,200 |
| Dream Run | 5.5 km | 12 years | ₹500 |
- Age is calculated as on race day, not as on the date of registration.
- Participants below 18 years must be registered by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts the Waiver on their behalf.
- Carry a government-issued photo ID showing your date of birth to bib collection. Entry may be refused if age cannot be verified.
- Entries close when the participant cap for a category is reached, or on the announced closing date, whichever is earlier.
2. Registration and Bib Allotment
- Registration is confirmed only after successful payment and issue of a confirmation.
- Your entry is personal, non-transferable and non-refundable. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- Category changes may be allowed before the announced cut-off, subject to availability and payment of any fee difference.
- Bib numbers are allotted by the Organiser. Requests for a specific number are not entertained.
3. Bib Collection
Bibs, timing chips and race kits are collected in person at the pre-race expo announced for this edition — for 2026, at the SMS Convention Centre, Jaipur, on 27–28 November, subject to the timings published in the race instructions. Collection by a representative requires a signed authorisation letter and copies of both photo IDs. Bibs are not issued on race-day morning unless specifically announced. Full details are in the Shipping & Delivery Policy.
4. Race Day — Reporting and Start
- The start and finish precinct for this edition is at Albert Hall Museum, Jaipur. Indicative start times: Half Marathon and Cool Run 5:30 AM; Dream Run 6:30 AM. Final timings are those issued in the race instructions.
- Report at the venue well before your start time to clear security and reach your corral. Corrals close a few minutes before the gun; late arrivals start from the last corral.
- Start only in the corral and wave assigned to you. Starting ahead of your assigned wave is a disqualifiable offence.
- Baggage may be deposited only at the official counter, against your bib number. Do not leave valuables — the Organiser is not responsible for loss.
5. Bib and Timing Chip
- Wear your bib visibly on the front of your torso for the entire race. Do not fold, cut, obscure or alter it.
- Do not tamper with, remove or exchange the timing chip.
- A bib worn incorrectly or a damaged chip may result in no time being recorded, and a time cannot be reconstructed afterwards.
- Running under another person's bib results in disqualification of both parties and may lead to a ban from future editions.
6. On the Course
- Follow the marked route and complete the full distance. Cutting the course, taking a lift, or being paced by an unregistered runner, cyclist or vehicle results in disqualification.
- Follow the instructions of marshals, medical staff, police and volunteers at all times.
- Keep to the left and look behind you before changing line, so faster runners can pass.
- Observe the cut-off times announced for your category. Participants behind the cut-off may be asked to board a sweep vehicle so that roads can be reopened on schedule. Their timing chip will be collected and no finish time recorded.
- Take refreshment only from official aid stations. Personal nutrition may be carried, but external support crews are not permitted on the course.
- Dispose of cups, gel wrappers and bottles in or near the bins at aid stations. Littering elsewhere on the course is a disqualifiable offence.
- If you withdraw mid-race, inform the nearest marshal or medical post and hand over your timing chip, so that we do not launch a search for you.
7. Prohibited on the Course
- Bicycles, skates, skateboards, scooters, prams and pets.
- Glass containers.
- Any motorised vehicle not authorised by the Organiser.
- Headphones, where restricted for safety in the published race instructions — if permitted, keep the volume low enough to hear marshals and vehicles.
- Unauthorised commercial branding, banners, leafleting or promotional activity.
- Any substance prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
8. Conduct
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or unsporting behaviour towards participants, officials, volunteers, spectators or residents will result in immediate removal from the course and may be reported to the police. Interference with another participant's race is a disqualifiable offence.
9. Timing, Results and Protests
- Results are recorded electronically and published as provisional after the race.
- Protests must be made in writing to the Race Director within the window announced for this edition, with supporting evidence.
- The decision of the Race Director, or of the jury appointed for this edition, is final and binding.
- Results become final once the protest window closes.
10. Prizes and Awards
- Prizes are awarded in the categories and amounts published for this edition.
- Winners must produce original photo ID proving age and identity. Prizes are withheld until verification is complete.
- Tax is deducted at source as required under the Income-tax Act, 1961. Winners must provide PAN and bank details for the transfer.
- Prize money is ordinarily transferred by bank transfer within the timeline announced after results are declared.
- A participant found to have breached these rules forfeits any prize, and the placing is reallocated.
- Where anti-doping testing applies, prizes may be withheld pending results.
11. Disqualification
Grounds for disqualification include, without limitation: false information at registration; running under another person's bib; starting from the wrong wave; course cutting; missing timing mats; external pacing or vehicle support; refusing a lawful instruction from an official; doping; littering outside designated zones; and unsporting or abusive conduct. Disqualification carries no refund.
12. Changes to the Event
The Organiser may alter the route, timings, cut-offs, venue or format for safety, weather, traffic, crowd or regulatory reasons, and may postpone or cancel the Event in a force majeure situation, as set out in the Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
13. Medical Requirements
Participants must satisfy themselves that they are fit to run. Please read the Medical Advisory before race day. Medical staff may stop any participant from starting or continuing.
