Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all registration fees and other payments collected for the Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon by Anybody Can Run (ABCR) (“the Organiser”), whether paid through this website or through our registration platform at https://registration.pinkcitymarathon.com/register.

1. Why Entry Fees Are Non-Refundable

Your entry fee is committed well before race day. It pays for your T-shirt and race kit in your stated size, your bib and timing chip, medical and ambulance cover, insurance, police and municipal permissions, road-closure arrangements, hydration and nutrition on course, and your finisher medal — most of which is ordered, printed or contracted on the basis of confirmed registration numbers and cannot be recovered if you do not start.

2. Participant Cancellation

• Once your registration is confirmed, the entry fee is not refundable, in full or in part, whether you cancel, withdraw, are injured, fall ill, cannot travel, do not receive leave, do not obtain a visa, do not start, or do not finish.
• Your entry is not transferable to another person, and not deferrable to a future edition, unless we announce a deferral option for a particular edition.
• A change to a different race category may be permitted before the announced cut-off, subject to availability. If you move to a higher-priced category you must pay the difference; if you move to a lower-priced category, the difference is not refunded.
• Unclaimed race kits, T-shirts and medals do not carry any refund value.

3. When We Do Issue a Refund

We will refund you in the following situations:

4. Postponement, Cancellation or Curtailment of the Event

• If the Event is postponed, your registration is automatically carried over to the rescheduled date at no extra cost. No refund is payable in this case.
• If the Event is cancelled because of force majeure — including extreme weather, natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, public-health orders, war, terrorism, civil unrest, or the refusal or withdrawal of any statutory permission — costs already committed cannot be recovered. In that situation we will offer, at our discretion, either a carry-over of your entry to the next edition or a partial refund of the recoverable portion of the fee. This will be announced to all registered participants.
• If a race is stopped or shortened after it has begun for safety reasons, no refund is payable, as the costs of staging the event have already been incurred.

5. How to Request a Refund

Email info@anybodycanrun.com from the email address used at registration, with:

• the participant's full name and registration or bib number;
• the payment or transaction reference and the date of payment;
• the amount charged, and a screenshot or bank statement entry where a duplicate or failed payment is involved;
• a short description of what went wrong.

Requests relating to a duplicate, failed or incorrect charge should be raised within 30 days of the transaction so that we can trace it with the payment gateway.

6. Refund Timelines and Method

• We acknowledge every refund request within 2 (two) working days and tell you whether it is approved within 7 (seven) working days.
• Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method only — the same card, UPI ID or bank account used to pay. We cannot redirect a refund to a different account.
• Once processed, the amount usually reaches you within 7–10 working days, depending on your bank or card issuer. The final leg of the transfer is controlled by your bank, not by us.
• Refunds are made in Indian Rupees. Where a payment was made in another currency, exchange differences and any bank charges are borne by the payer.
• Payment-gateway fees and applicable taxes may be deducted from a refund where they are non-recoverable by us, except where the error was ours.

7. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank — we can almost always resolve it faster directly. Where a chargeback is raised on a valid, confirmed registration, we reserve the right to contest it with evidence of your registration and of these Terms, and to cancel the entry concerned.

8. Merchandise and Other Purchases

Any merchandise sold by us is covered by the returns terms stated at the point of sale. In the absence of stated terms, merchandise may be returned only if it is damaged, defective, or not the item ordered, and only if you notify us within 7 (seven) days of receiving it, with the item unused and in its original packaging.

9. Donations

Voluntary contributions made to a charity partner or to a cause associated with the Event are non-refundable, as they are passed on to the beneficiary.
